Ph.D. Program

At SIUC, doctoral training is available in Behavior Analysis and Therapy leading to a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation.

The doctoral degree will prepare graduates for faculty positions in departments such as Behavior Analysis, Rehabilitation, Psychology, and Special Education. Various clinical and organizational positions can be attained as well.

Masters Program

SIUC is proud to have been the first behavior analysis masters degree program in the world. Following this distinction, the program has had a 40 year rich history in the field of behavior analysis and currently holds Association for Behavior Analysis Accreditation. Only 12 other schools in the world have this same distinction. None in Illinois do.

The Masters Degree coursework is approved by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, and is designed to provide the student with a well-rounded blend of didactic courses, hands o n experience, and research opportunities. The mixture of classes and field experience result in the graduate having the best possible preparation for the workforce or doctoral training that lies ahead.

BAT Online

The Behavior Analysis & Therapy Program at SIU has created a five course sequence of highly sophisticated graduate classes that are designed for interested professionals seeking to fulfill the class work requirements for national certification by the BACB (Behavior Analysis Certification Board).

Most BAT Online students are new to on-line learning, and steps are taken to ensure that every student is accommodated.
BAT Online is an excellent opportunity to gain graduate training in behavior analysis if a student lives in a geographic area that limits their ability to travel to a local campus.
BAT Online is a logical choice for a person interested in Behavior Analysis that is primarily seeking BACB certification rather than obtaining a full Masters degree from our on-campus d egree granting program.
The sequence of courses, often termed "BAT Online", leads to a certificate of completion from SIU. The credits earned in each course are graduate credits, that can easily transfer to any accredited university.

BACB Course Sequences Across the State

Springfield, IL & Norris City, IL are homes to BAT course sequences that are specifically designed to prepare students for taking the national certification exam to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

BAT Travels North to Chicago

Beginning in 2009 SIU is proud to offer the Masters Degree in Behavior Analysis and Therapy in the Chicago/Joliet area. SIUC, in a partnership with Trinity Services, Inc., will deliver the degree program over a three year period.
